Count the visitors ad blockers hide
Serve your analytics from your own domain, so uBlock, Brave and privacy browsers stop hiding visitors.

If your audience is technical, a real share of it uses an ad blocker. Those blockers drop requests to known analytics domains, so those visitors never appear in your numbers.
Why this matters
Missing visitors skew everything: conversion rates look higher than they are, channels popular with developers look smaller, and launch numbers look worse. Decisions made on partial data are partial decisions.
Why most analytics tools can't tell you
Third-party analytics scripts load from the vendor's domain, which filter lists know. Some tools offer a proxy, but it's often complex to set up or only on expensive plans.
How Datasense does it
Datasense's script and endpoint can be served from your own domain under a path you choose. Filter lists don't know your path, so there's nothing to block. Recipes cover Next.js, Vercel, Netlify, Cloudflare and Nginx, and the script finds its endpoint on its own.
How to do it
- 1Open Settings → Ad blockers and pick your stack.
- 2Add the rewrites to your config (two paths, four with session replay).
- 3Change your script tag to load from your own domain, such as /_ds/js/script.cookies.js.
- 4Open your site with an ad blocker on and check the Realtime page: your visit counts.
Turn it into action
- Compare visitors in the week before and after the proxy to see how many you were missing.
- Recheck conversion rates per channel once the counts are complete.
- Pick a unique path instead of the default, so filter lists can't guess it.
