Stop guessing where to spend your time. See which channel brings paying customers, not just clicks.

Every founder asks the same question sooner or later: where should my next hour and my next dollar go? The honest answer is the channel that brings paying customers, not the one with the most visits.
Why this matters
Traffic and revenue often disagree. One channel can send 10,000 visitors and no customers, while another sends 200 visitors who pay for your month. If you only look at visits, you put effort into the wrong place. Revenue per channel tells you what to double down on and what to drop.
Why most analytics tools can't tell you
Most analytics tools count pageviews and sessions. They show which channel sent traffic, but tying it to real payments means wiring ecommerce events or building custom reports. Most people never finish that setup, so the money question stays open.
How Datasense does it
Datasense ties each payment to the visit that led to it, then credits it to the referrer and campaign that started that visit. Revenue sits next to visitors on the same Sources card, so the comparison is one click.
How to do it
- 1Install the script on every page.
- 2Connect your payment provider in Settings → Revenue: Stripe, Polar, Lemon Squeezy, Paddle or Dodo Payments, with an API key. Datasense registers the webhook and imports your last year of payments. Any other provider works through the Payments API.
- 3Open your dashboard and find the Sources card. The Referrers tab shows visitors and revenue for each source.
- 4Click the Revenue column header to sort sources by money instead of visits.
- 5Switch to the Campaigns tab to compare tagged campaigns the same way.
Tag links you share with UTM parameters (?utm_source=…&utm_campaign=…), so visits from apps and emails don't collapse into Direct.
Turn it into action
- A source with high revenue and few visitors deserves more of your time this week.
- A source with lots of traffic and no revenue: stop investing, or fix the offer for that audience.
- Click a source to filter the whole dashboard by it, and see which pages its visitors read before they paid.
Good to know
- A payment is credited to the visit it carries. Buyers who switch devices before paying can show up without a source.
