Your most visited page is rarely your best page. Some pages bring buyers; others bring readers who never come back. Knowing which is which tells you what to link, promote and improve.
Why this matters
Landing pages are where a visit starts, and where most buyers decide whether to stay. A blog post that starts paying sessions is worth more than a viral one that doesn't. That's where internal links, ads and newsletter mentions should point.
Why most analytics tools can't tell you
Most tools rank pages by views. Connecting a page to a payment means building a custom attribution report, so most sites never see revenue per page.
How Datasense does it
Datasense credits each payment to the first page of the session that led to it, its landing page. The Pages card shows revenue next to visitors for every page.
How to do it
- 1Connect your payment provider in Settings → Revenue: Stripe, Polar, Lemon Squeezy, Paddle or Dodo Payments, with an API key. Datasense registers the webhook and imports your last year of payments. Any other provider works through the Payments API.
- 2Open the Pages card on the overview. Each page shows its visitors and the revenue of sessions that started there.
- 3To rank every page by money, click the Others row at the bottom of the card to open the full list, then click the Revenue column header.
- 4Click a page to filter the dashboard by it, and see which sources send its visitors.
Turn it into action
- Link to your top earning pages from your most visited ones.
- Point ads, newsletter links and social posts at pages that earn, not just your home page.
- Pages with lots of visitors and no revenue need a clearer next step: a call to action, a signup, a link to pricing.
Good to know
- Revenue is credited to the landing page, not to every page the buyer saw on the way.
