Prove that search traffic makes money, page by page, and find the posts worth updating.

SEO takes months, so you want to know it's paying off. The proof isn't rankings or clicks. It's customers who arrived from a search engine.
Why this matters
Content is expensive to write and update. Revenue from search tells you which posts earn their keep, which deserve a refresh, and whether to keep investing in SEO at all.
Why most analytics tools can't tell you
Search tools report rankings and clicks, and payment tools report revenue. Most analytics tools can show that Google sent a visit, but not that the visit paid.
How Datasense does it
Search engines show up as referrers in Datasense (google.com, bing.com, duckduckgo.com…), with revenue next to them. Filter by one and the Pages card shows which landing pages turned search visits into revenue.
How to do it
- 1Connect your payment provider in Settings → Revenue: Stripe, Polar, Lemon Squeezy, Paddle or Dodo Payments, with an API key. Datasense registers the webhook and imports your last year of payments. Any other provider works through the Payments API.
- 2On the Sources card, find google.com and the other search engines, with their visitors and revenue.
- 3Click google.com to filter the dashboard by it.
- 4On the Pages card, read the Revenue column (open the full list from the Others row to sort by it): these are the pages search visitors landed on before they paid.
Turn it into action
- Refresh and expand the posts that earn from search; they're your best content.
- Posts with search traffic but no revenue need a link to your product or a stronger call to action.
- Compare search revenue month over month to see whether new content is working.
Good to know
- Datasense doesn't know the search keywords. Search engines don't pass them in the referrer, so use Google Search Console for queries.
