Set up Datasense in 3 steps
Add Datasense to your website in a minute, then track goals and revenue to see which channels bring visitors, customers and errors.
Datasense is web analytics with JavaScript error tracking built in. Set it up in 3 steps. The free plan covers 5k events a month, with no card.
1/ Install the tracking script
Add your website and put the tracking script in the <head> of every page:
<script
defer
data-website-id="YOUR_SITE_ID"
src="https://usedatasense.com/js/script.cookies.js"
></script>Pageviews, traffic sources, time on page and JavaScript errors start arriving within a second. The setup page shows "Receiving events" once the first one lands.
Need to change how the script behaves? See the script configuration reference for localhost tracking, cookieless mode, Do Not Track and more.
Installation tutorials
See all installation guides: Next.js, React, WordPress, Shopify, Webflow, Framer and more.
2/ Link revenue to traffic
- Attribute revenue to the visits that led to it.
- Report payments from your Stripe or Dodo Payments webhook, or any provider with the Payments API.
3/ Track custom goals (optional)
Count signups, checkouts and any other action with custom goals. Goals show their conversion rate next to your traffic.
