Measure conversion rate by country
Find the markets that turn visits into customers, and the ones that only inflate your traffic.

A country can send a lot of visitors and almost no customers. Another can send few visitors who buy at twice your average rate. Both are worth knowing before you translate pages, change prices or run ads.
Why this matters
Conversion rate by country shows where your offer already works. It's a quick way to decide where to spend on ads, which languages to support, and whether a traffic spike from one country is real interest or noise.
Why most analytics tools can't tell you
Most analytics tools show visitors by country, and payment tools show revenue by billing country. Neither shows how many of one country's visitors became customers.
How Datasense does it
Datasense knows each visitor's country and each customer's first payment. Filter the dashboard by a country and the overview's Conversion rate and Revenue/visitor are for that country alone.
How to do it
- 1Connect your payment provider in Settings → Revenue: Stripe, Polar, Lemon Squeezy, Paddle or Dodo Payments, with an API key. Datasense registers the webhook and imports your last year of payments. Any other provider works through the Payments API.
- 2Open the Locations card on the overview. Countries are listed by visitors, with the revenue of sessions from each one.
- 3Click a country to filter the dashboard by it.
- 4Read Conversion rate and Revenue/visitor at the top, then clear the filter and try the next country.
Turn it into action
- Countries with a high conversion rate and little traffic are where ads and localization pay off first.
- Countries with lots of traffic and no customers may need different pricing, payment methods or language.
- Check the Regions and Cities tabs when one country is big enough to split.
Good to know
- Location comes from the visitor's IP at the edge, so VPN users count toward the VPN's country.
