Built-In Micro-Surveys & Feedback Forms for Websites and SaaS

Analytics shows what visitors do. A short question tells you why. Datasense forms are one- or two-question surveys that pop up on the pages you pick, and every answer is tied to the visitor who gave it: where they are, what device they used and, if it was recorded, their session.

What you can ask, and what you get back

Three kinds of question

Stars from 1 to 5, a choice of up to 6 buttons, or a free-text answer. Up to 2 questions per form, then a thank-you message.

Shown at the right moment

After a few seconds on the page, once the visitor scrolls part of the way, when they click an element you pick, or on exit intent on desktop. Limit it to pages like /pricing or /blog/*.

Answers with context

Each response shows the visitor's country, city, browser and device, and links to their profile and to their session replay when one was recorded.

Results at a glance

See how often the form was shown, how many visitors answered and finished, the response rate, and a breakdown of every star and choice.

How to add a survey to your site

  1. Step 1

    Create a form

Open Forms in your dashboard and add your questions. Pick a corner popup or full screen, a light, dark or automatic theme, and your accent color.

  2. Step 2

    Pick when and where

Choose the trigger, the pages it shows on, and whether it shows once per visitor or every visit until they answer.

  3. Step 3

    Go live

The Datasense script you already have loads it. There's no new tag to add, and answers show up on the form's page as they arrive.

What it doesn't do

So you know before you sign up.

  • A form has at most 2 questions. It's built for quick feedback, not long surveys or lead forms with many fields.
  • Forms show as a corner popup or full screen. There's no inline form inside your page yet.
  • Stars go from 1 to 5. There's no 0 to 10 NPS scale.
  • Triggers are page load, scroll, click and exit intent. A form can't be triggered by a custom event yet, and exit intent only works on desktop.

Questions people ask

No. The Datasense script loads the form widget (about 9 KB gzipped) only when the site has a live form. Sites without one load nothing extra. Add data-forms="false" to the tag to turn forms off.
